I am grateful that Viet News Television San Diego (VNTV) introduced HOANG CONG LUAN and his musicians to San Diego audience.
It was like a Viet reunion, in a magical place last week in San Diego at the HOANG CONG LUAN and TUAN NGOC concert where all creative and beautiful souls gathered together in one room. Purely magical!
Thuong Linh and her captivating performance.
Pham Ha, and his performance of “unchained melody” with Thuong Linh.
and charming, Emcee Dinh Quang Thai.
The violinist, pianist, conductor, and composer, Hoang Cong Luan, is so gifted having played many musical instruments that I was in awe having to restrain myself to my seat.
Luan also surprised the audience by humbly introducing Andrew Vu, a 13 year old gifted pianist, to share his musical talents as they both delightfully performed.
The star of the show, Tuan Ngoc, known as a Vietnamese Frank Sinatra, forever suave, and charming, effortlessly performed with God’s gift of a voice that took us to another world of Camelot. His loyal fans, including me, vow to love him from here to the eternity.
That is another reason that I am proud to be a Vietnamese American because we appreciate, love and care for artists, and singers that have devoted their entire life to bring “life” to us.
The entire Joan Kroc theatre busted into a loud applause when Tuan Ngoc appeared, validating that he is still the one, and he is loved!
The HOANG CONG LUAN and Friends’ performance confirmed what Andre Rieu declared:
‘Music heals, we have a lot of experience that people come in a wheelchair and during the encores they stand up and walk away.
Doctors say to me, “I’m in hospital helping these people and you come with your DVD and they don’t need me!”
I get letters every day, I hear it all the time. They leave feeling happier. Their faces are shining.’
Friends, if I were in a wheel chair, you can be rest assured that I sure would have stood up, and waltzed away with Hoang Cong Luan and his musicians’ divine performance.
Being a woman of self-control, I rarely weep, but at Hoang Cong Luan’s performance, I wept openly, when Thuong Linh sang, and I went weak at the knees when Hoang Cong Luan and his band performed with his many musical instruments.
October 11, 2014, I believe we all found our souls through the Hoang Cong Luan night of magical ambience.
I am so proud that my darling husband is one of sponsors for this worthy concert, where many of us San Diegans reminisced under one roof, filled with joy, friendship, and laughter.
Thank you my friends that traveled as far as Phoenix and Houston to enjoy the concert with me.
More than one hundred of my friends and clients had attended and they all have one testimonial:
“A magical night. The Hoang Cong Luan concert was a renewal our souls. You were right, Gwen.”
